U.S. Department of Agriculture Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) is designed to alleviate poverty and increase economic activity and employment in rural communities with a population of less than 25,000.

Eligible Borrowers:

  • Small for-profit businesses
  • Small non-profit businesses
  • Must be located in a rural area with a population of less than 25,000

Loan Amounts

  • Maximum: $250,000
  • Minimum: $50,000

Guaranty Percentages

  • N/A

Terms

  • Real estate: Up to 20 years
  • Machinery or equipment: Up to 15 years
  • Working capital: Up to 7 years

  • Enlargement or repair
  • Purchase or development of land
